Texas Water Watchers (texaswaterwatchers.com) is a public visualization of groundwater, rainfall, and stream data for the Texas Hill Country, operated by Upward Axis Tech. We keep this simple: we don't ask you to create an account, and we don't sell your personal information.

What we collect

We use privacy-respecting analytics (Google Analytics and Contentsquare/Hotjar) to understand which pages are useful and how the site performs. These tools record standard, largely anonymous information such as pages viewed, approximate region, device and browser type, and how you move through the page. We do not use this to identify you personally.

Cookies & advertising

To help cover hosting costs, this site may show ads served by Google AdSense. Google and its partners use cookies and similar technologies to serve and measure ads, and — where permitted — to show ads based on your prior visits to this and other websites.

Data sources & attribution

Readings are drawn from public agencies and used with attribution:

• U.S. Geological Survey (USGS) — real-time stream and river gauges. USGS data is in the U.S. public domain.
• Texas Water Development Board (TWDB), via Water Data for Texas, together with the Cow Creek Groundwater Conservation District — groundwater and well water-level readings.
• CoCoRaHS volunteer observers and the National Weather Service cooperative network, via the Applied Climate Information System (ACIS) — daily rainfall.

This site is an independent presentation. It is not affiliated with or endorsed by these agencies, and it does not use their logos or seals. All readings are provisional and subject to revision, and are provided “as is” without warranty of accuracy, completeness, or fitness for any purpose. Do not rely on this site for emergency, flood-warning, navigational, safety, or regulatory decisions — for warnings, consult the National Weather Service.
